This year we want to implement a novel presentation style for our meeting in Seattle to make it more like a LARGE LAB MEETING. The goal is to facilitate discussion on focused topics and clearly define what is known, what is not, and what the next steps ought to be.

The oral presentations at this year's meeting will be organized under specific questions. The potential session questions, along with a sample of the type of data that would be relevant, are listed under the Scientific Program tab. All presentations in each session must make a clear contribution to answering that session's question. For each oral session, we plan to have a mixture of short (5-10 minutes) and long (15-20 minutes) talks, depending on the amount of relevant data to be presented. Posters will also be grouped according to these specific questions. You may indicate whether you would like a poster or oral presentation. However, the decision regarding the type and length of presentation assigned is at the complete discretion of the Jain Foundation. If your data does not directly address any of the session questions, it most likely will be assigned a poster presentation.

Abstracts must be submitted no later than July 23, 2010. The Jain Foundation will let you know what kind of presentation your abstract has been accepted for no later than August 3rd, 2010.

Arrival

Conference attendees should plan to fly into Seattle via Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).  Transportation to and from the airport is available by taxi, airport shuttle, or bus (see below).  Rental cars are available at the airport and can be arranged by the attendee at his/her own expense.  Please note that the overnight parking fee at the Hyatt Bellevue Regency is $14/night.

How to reserve the Shuttle service:

  2. Select "From Airport-Round Trip" or "From Airport-One Way" on the left hand side of the screen
  3. Scroll down to "Pickup locations", then to "Hotels"
  4. Select "Hyatt Regency-Bellevue" from the list
  5. Note: If you fill in the address of the hotel rather than choose the hotel from the list, the shuttle will be more than $19.

To receive this rate, please use the self-park and bring your parking ticket to the conference. We will stamp the ticket so that at exit, the special rate will be honored.
